The school age child needs – and deserves more than a safe place to go after school, each child is an individual capable of making decisions, expressing needs and opinions. After-school children need to be motivated, challenged and involved. Our staff work tirelessly to develop a programme that supports each child’s individuality. At the same time providing opportunities for exploration, manipulation and independent choice.
The after school is divided up into different age groups in their own separate rooms. Age appropriate activities are planned daily, which are fun and engaging within a safe environment. The swings, wooden climbing frame, two-storied house and much more, are all enclosed within a large grassy area. The older children have great adventures in their tree house. Games such as tennis, badminton, and football are planned during the summer and when weather permits. The indoor programme rotates around 5 separate rooms, homework, games, air hockey, T.V/drama, arts and crafts.
Affordability, provision of transportation to and from school, attention to the needs of working families have contributed to Jolly Jesters success over the past years.
“Whatever the weather, children are encouraged to play, explore and learn outside. There is no such thing as bad weather just inappropriate clothing”
